This covers cookies and similar technologies on our surfaces — the websitev0 marketing site and the operator portal. It does not cover the individual customer sites we publish; each of those carries its own policy (see "Cookies on customer sites").
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies — like local storage — can do comparable jobs: they let a site remember you between page loads, keep you signed in, and understand how the product is used. We keep it simple — a few first-party cookies and no tracking pixels, web beacons, or third-party trackers.
How we use them
We use as few as we can. On our portal and marketing site they keep you signed in, remember your consent choice, and — only if you allow it — give us privacy-friendly, first-party usage counts. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don’t sell what cookies tell us.
Categories
The consent banner offers exactly these three categories. Strictly necessary is always on; the other two are off until you opt in.
- Strictly necessary — always on. Sign-in, session, security, and remembering your consent choice. The portal won’t work without them, so they’re set without asking.
- Analytics — off by default. First-party, PII-free page-view counts that help us improve the product. No cross-site tracking. Set only if you opt in.
- Marketing — off by default. First-party campaign attribution — which referrer sent you. No third-party ad networks. Set only if you opt in.

Every cookie above is first-party — set by websitev0 and readable only by us. There are no third-party or advertising cookies, and wv0_pageview and wv0_ref hold a plain count and a referrer, never a unique identifier.
Cookies on customer sites
Every website we generate ships cookieless by default, in line with our places-data compliance posture (ADR-0002): a plain brochure site sets no cookies at all, and its ROI dashboard measures calls, chats, and bookings from server-side events rather than the browser. A published site only sets a cookie when an add-on you switch on needs one — for example, a chat widget’s session cookie — and it carries its own cookie notice. The business owner is the controller for their site’s cookies; we act as their processor. This policy covers websitev0.com itself, not the sites we publish.
Managing cookies
We set no analytics or marketing cookie until you opt in — reject or ignore the banner and only strictly-necessary cookies run. We remember your choice, accept or reject, for 12 months, then ask again — or sooner if what we track materially changes.
On first visit we show a banner so you can accept or reject the Analytics and Marketing categories; strictly-necessary cookies are always on because the portal needs them. You can change your choice any time from the footer, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — though the portal won’t work without the strictly-necessary ones.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a rejection of non-essential cookies and don’t show the banner at all.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change a cookie we’ll update the table above and the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we track come with a refreshed consent prompt.
